Copperband Butterfly..Reef safe or not?

Most of what I have researched says they are almost 100% reef safe with LPS but the fish store claims it will destroy my coral. I just returned a Lemonpeel Angel that was eating my LPS, I don't want to drain my tank again...

What are the chances it will eat my LPS?

I had one that ate my zooanthids but didnt bother anything else so they are a little bit of a risk! I guess it all depends on how bad you want it and what you might be willing to risk?

I'm more concerned about my LPS, specifically my Acan , Frogspawn, Hammer, and Lobo...

IMO it depends on how small a specimen you start out with and whether or not you get it on frozen food whilst in qt. Mine I bought when it was just ~2" - now 3.5" - and it does not bother any of my LPS or SPS. I'm doing the same with a similarly sized C marginalis.

Mine hasn't touched any coral. I have a frogspawn and a war coral for lps, and a derasa and tear drop.

I was given a CBB a week ago...I put him in my frag tank so that I can watch him with all types of coral...so far he hasn't bothered any of them.

Alright, I took the risk and got a small 2 inch CBB today. He looks really healthy and is currently acclimating...

I will post any issues I might have.

I had one that never touched any corals, and that includes all the LPS corals you listed: Acan , Frogspawn, Hammer, and Lobo. It also cleaned my tank of aiptasia. Interestingly, it paired up with a Foxface and the two were inseparable. You would have thought they were tied together the way they followed one another around the tank.
