its hard to tell by the pics but it looks to me to be a bacterial infection.i bought a clown online that arrived in perfect health. after a few hours i noticed a small red blotch that i thought he had gotten from scraping against a rock. by the next day he looked much like your CBB and died within 24hrs. i was astonished that the fish's health could take such a u turn in such a short period of time. i talked to DFS on the phone, and posted threads on RC, and the general consenses was a bacterial infection. some fish are more prone than others and all fish are more vulnerable when stressed. i really dont know many deatails about how a fish contracts the infection. i am sad for you and your CBB, i know how excited you were to be getting one. i hope things take a turn for the better.
