Copperbands and Clams

I am thinking of getting a school of Copperbands in my reeftank but I am concerned for my 4 clams. Will they be picked on by the copperbands? I have a 200gallon and would like to get around 6 copperbands. Is that even possible? I would appreciate any input.

thanks

I have had my Copperband in with 4 clams for about 9 months now. He hasnt given them a second glance, no problems at all.

Now, a cherry stone clam on the half shell, thats a different story. They love to eat those.

Some love to eat polyps so you might want to think twice if you have any.I had one he didn't touch my polyps but he also did not eat and died.Make sure they eat before you buy them. You might want to try mysis but this fish is a bit difficult. If you get some that eat you should be fine.

I would be really cautious. My copperband use to pick at the butthole of my sea hare, and I think he eventually killed it. They like to poke their nose into anything that looks like it might have food in it, and a clam seems like it would be a perfect target. Tho, I have no first hand experience with having the two of them together...

I've had a Copperband in my tank for over a year. Started adding clams about 5 months ago. Have 4 now, hasn't bothered them so far.

I think my clams killed my copperband:D Just kidding.

My clams were never bothered in the slightest by the 2 copperbands I had. Unfortunately they died after all the aiptasia were eaten....
