Coral Banded turning brown?

I noticed yesterday that my huge 3"+ coral banded shrimp is turning brownish colored on its white stripes. Has this happened to other's; if so what is going on here?

Sometimes some algae will grow on the shell. When it sheds it should return to a nice clean white.
