Coral Beauty For Sale

DO you think he can go in a 20 gallon that is part of a three tank setup - or is that too small for him- the only other fish is a baby 5 inch snowflake eel - way too small to eat him. the whole system is a 20 gallon sump, a 35 cube, and the 20 gallon side tank/refugium that has clump of cheato and sun polyps, and the snowflake. The Coral Beauty is my 11 year old sons favorite fish and he is in charge of the contents of the side tank. So, this would be a early Christmas present if consensus thinks he will be happy in the setup as described..

Personally I would not keep him in a 20. I would say he is now 2 1/2" and he came from a 90. Min recommendation is 30 from DFS.

He has been secluded since i picked him up. However with that said he was in Jim's 90 reef that had a mixture of both lps/sps that all I can say is didnt looked nipped at.

that is as non commitive as an answer as i can commit too..

You sound like a lawyer.... Still thinking about it- I might put him in my 90 mixed tank as my boy will still be able to see him- The 20 gallon is probably too small - although there is not much rock ( only rubble) and no other free swimming fish - so really probably more swimming area than most reef tanks up to a 40.

Yeah. I mean ultimately i cannot tell you how to raise your fish, we can just bash you on the forums for not doing it our way.. ;)

I would really like to keep this fish, but my other tank mates dont approve and the other option is a damsel tank ..

I have been WAY too busy - Glad somebody picked it up that will appreciate it and take care of the livestock.. Did you get the pink Birdsnest ?? I was going to pick up a frag of that from him- never got a chance to get over to pick it up - my bad.

Yes i got it all.

I have several frags of it now. I broke off some dead, divided it in half, and then what fell off during moving.

Any chance you'll be at the meeting? If so and you'd have him there then, I'd take him, just don't know if my schedule would work to get him before then, but I am interested.

I would rather not have to bring him to the meeting being it would have to stay out of elmers for the most part and its cold out there..

good point. Maybe my wife could get him...but it would be a week or two before it would work for us, so by all means don't hold him on my account.
