My CB got this werid white greyish small patches around the top of its head. It eats and is healthy, grazing around and active. It just has this werid patch crap on its head. It looks like missing scales but its not. It doesnt scratch or rub on rocks. Everything is normal, noraml breathing, eatting everything. Its just the head with some white greyish patches like a discolor of the purple . Kind of dull like patches now. could it be a lack of vitamins? or could it be dirty water?

....nice advice............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

A picture would help.

Stress, malnutrition, bacteria issue, viral problem, external parasite - all of the above/something else. Fish with external parasites often exude excess mucus in an attempt to shed the parasite .. any chance this is mucus?

Soak food in garlic paste by Eco-Systems. They make a supplement called Fish maintenance very good. Use everyday takes time but clor should return. Check water quality, poor quality can stress fish.

Kevin,
Theres no mucus its more like patches of dull greyish purple, Maybe its malnutrition.

Percula,
Eco-system hmm would garlic guard work? I got some new life spectrum pellets.
