My clarkii seemed to be hosted by the the heater. dumb fish!...it would even bring food from accross the tank to the damn heater.

my perc has 2 hosts. is primary is a big patch of green hairy mushrooms. is second host is a rose anemone. he picks and chooses from day to day.

mine loves the frogspawn and they completely ignore the green bta

mine host either the frogspawn or the goni depending upon their mood i guess. also sometimes the open brain. not the smartest fish are they?

My clown first tried to host in my frogspon, then it went to my flower pots - I have 3 in a row on the sandbed. For the first day, the flowerpots retracted constantly, the second day, they were fully extended and the clown was playing in them! The BTA is right above the flowerpots but the clown won't leave them! It's wierd and frustrating!

I've had the same experiences. I've had clowns try to live in xenias, star polyps, goniporia, frogspawn, even hair algae and (once for a little while) a large blob or slime algae!?! On the other hand I've also had them stay with carpet, sebae, and bubble tip anenomes for months to years or switch from one anenome to another every half hour.

How are your corals reacting to clowns

Hi everyone, I've heard different things about how corals react to clowns from indifference to death. What are your opinions?

It's too soon to tell for me...so far, my corals don't seem to mind it.
It's really funny because the clown brings the flowerpots food as if it were an anemone!
