Coral Maternity in Portugal

What could I say?. After most than one year developing Neptune, we've found the best tester that could ever find!!!.
Thank you Machado for your support.
Glad to see the pendant over your nursery tank!!!.
You trusted from the first time and now I only could write:

THANKS!!

Best regards from Spain

Hi Greentown!

Thank you for your words. I have tested your pendant and have been very positively surprised. The only problem I noticed is a little loss of color in some corals but I'm not worried about that because it is too soon to have a definitive opinion about the coral pigmentation.
When I started using plasmas lights (LEP) in the maternity tank it also happened the same and now the colors are coming back. I think that this always happen whenever we change the type of lights above our corals.
By now, the most important thing for me is that corals remain healthy, the electricity consumption was reduced by half and I will have not to spend money to replace tubes in the coming years in my nursery tank where I'm using Neptune LEDs, similar to what happened since the day I started using Sfiligoi plasma pendants in the maternity tank.

Cheers,

Wow...I just now stumbled upon this thread...that is amazing Machado ! Thanks for this thread...it was a great read and my wife was blown away with the pictures of your tank - maybe she'll not give me such a hard time when I spend money on my hobby :)

Machado deSousa, Hi there I never post on here are hardly read these post, however I found this thread through another site and had to keep reading, I made it to page 20 and just had to skip to the end to make this post. Its great what you are doing for our oceans, its people like you that care for our future generations. Its something so little that means so much. With all of this said do you have a web site or a place to take donations? I would love to help you in your cause as well as others I am sure.
Thanks again
Nathan Corley

Good to know that you found this thread and have contributed to your wife feel your passion... and, who knows, offer you some Kudas for your 75 gal budget reef build... :)

Cheers,

Great, great, great job!!!

Wish I could start something similar here in Italy, but our bureaucracy on stony corals is crazy!!!We are both in EU, but national laws differ a lot... I know that german aquarists frag free of papers and crappy documents.

In Italy for each animal we have to keep trace on a register of vendor, buyer, frags, CITES codes... how do You manage this kind of problems in Portugal?

Thanks and compliments again for Your coral maternity!!!

Hello Machado de Sousa,

Greetings from Lithuania. I want to congratulate you for your wonderful execution of the propagation system. I must say, I really understand the reasond behind this system, as I feel the same way - I would love to have the same system or maybe even more elaborate with more frags :)

One thing i'd like to ask is do You keep some kind of record about what kind of coral is placed where, which generation it is, where was it aquired from? If I were in your place I'd keep an excel spreadsheet to keep track of all the corals because given the current scale of your system I think it should be hard to keep track of it all.

Anyway, best regards Machado, I am waiting for update :)

Hi Machado,

Great Job !!! I love Your system.
I would like to know, do you have any problem with algge on the propagation aquarium??
how do you cope with this??
