Coral Maternity in Portugal

Hello.
Last tuesday, me and some members from www.aquariofilia.net (one of the biggest portuguese aquarium boards) visited Machado de Sousa.
Not only did we have a good time, but I also had the opportunity to take a few macro pics of some of Machado's corals.

I have to say simply inspirational. It would be nice if something like your project happened in multiple places around the world.

hey machado ive been following this forum topic for a while and i am now in portugal on vacation i am from canada..... id love to come see your setup if you have time to show me and my wife.. we both love this hobby and considering its from a portuguese guy even more respect since were both portuguese also. let me know im here until august 5 thank u

Very soon I gonna post about my corals propagated from a single polyp.
About colors under LED's after T5, in my opinion only you have to do is wait. The colors will come.

That is a SPECTACULAR display. I congratulate you on your efforts and hope that it does bring you money. There should be a grant available to help you further your efforts.
I would really like to do something like that in Florida. Tampa Bay used to have live coral but it's all gone now. Very little remains in the Gulf of Mexico. It is possible to replicate what you have done.
On the last leg of a trans-atlantic sail, I spent a month in the Azores and a month in Lisbon way back in the late '80's. If I could just get back there now I'd love to come and see your project.

Well, it took me the best part of a day to read your thread Machado, loved every minute, inspired me to start my own version, but using sunlight! Will be coming back to this thread often, the pics will teach and guide me!

I have question about light. If you don't mind, please share to me.
1. How long you turn of light per day?
2. What is the best light for SPS coral frag now? T5, MH of LED. If focus on the best resut of growth.
