I'll never miss any question, much less pertinent questions as yours. As you can see, i only skip questions to thank comments and words of sympathy, never to respond to other questions. I use to respond to questions sequencialy by order of entrance. By now i'm still responding to questions posted in the last page (pag. 20)and thus, as you can see in my last post, i answered to sditch , next time i'll respond to fatrip, followed by jack.pe and so on, and soon i'll respond to you. Today I took a look at the thread and I'm pleasantly surprised by the attention that it continues to receive. I apologize to all for my tardiness in posting. It is always a struggle to make time available to do things I like such as to keep the tread always updated but substantial ongoing demands on my time impede me. I'll try to be more assidous.
About water movements I have made some modifications in the system. Actually, both Day-care tanks tied together by the channel, have a common drainage. The other two tanks, maternity and nursery, have independent out flows. Now, the water from all tanks are guided to a single tube (3†diameter), which distributes the water to the skimmers and straight to the beginning of the sump. The scheme will help you better to understand the way it works:

Hi fatrip, I don't find thorite in Portugal but, because I’m a lucky man, i have a friend who have contacts in Germain and buy it for me.

Hi jack.pe, Thanks for your words.
Yes, it would be better for me to use a backup generator but it's a problem because my garage is localized in a residential building and i have neighbors on the floors over me. The backup generators are noisy and working by night would wake up all residents. Because a single UPS doesn't run for long i was obliged to equip the prop with another one, to get more autonomy. Exhaust gases would be another problem for me. I allways try to be a good neighbor...
About nurseries tanks i intend to go on with only one but i would like to fulfill the stand with Day-care tanks… it was designed to receive 6 x 600g. The sump is dynamical.
