Corals ? Lights? What?

I'm currently cycling a 30 Gal. wide (36x12x16) with 30 LBS of live rock. I'm almost a month into cycling, and I'm planning on waiting another month, just for good measure.I've recently managed to stuff a 110W 50/50 10K and Act. into a standard single flourescent strip light (that was fun, I could post pictures if anyone cares, it's two Com. Flourescent bulbs)

Anyhow, I'm not currenty running a sump on the tank, as I'm skimming, and the water quality here is actually really good. Also, I don't plan on keeping corals.

In the future, I'de like to look into polyps, and perhaps a bubble tip. I'll start doing water changes with RO/DI, and after my tank matures, look into some corals.

Will the light setup (110W) in my 30 Gal wide be sufficient for a few easy corals ? (Flow isn't an issue, I'll toss in an extra MJ100 with a wavemker)

I think the best answer would be that it might be. That amount of light is minimal, but it might suffice for some mushrooms. It is very dountful that it would work for any kind of anemone. It's not really worth even trying that. Instead, just try some coral that aren't very light demanding, like mushrooms or ricordia, up on the rockwork in your reef.
