I'm currently cycling a 30 Gal. wide (36x12x16) with 30 LBS of live rock. I'm almost a month into cycling, and I'm planning on waiting another month, just for good measure.I've recently managed to stuff a 110W 50/50 10K and Act. into a standard single flourescent strip light (that was fun, I could post pictures if anyone cares, it's two Com. Flourescent bulbs)
Anyhow, I'm not currenty running a sump on the tank, as I'm skimming, and the water quality here is actually really good. Also, I don't plan on keeping corals.
In the future, I'de like to look into polyps, and perhaps a bubble tip. I'll start doing water changes with RO/DI, and after my tank matures, look into some corals.
Will the light setup (110W) in my 30 Gal wide be sufficient for a few easy corals ? (Flow isn't an issue, I'll toss in an extra MJ100 with a wavemker)
