Ok, thank you for clearing up for me. I have seen so many craigslist posts for both Coraltopia and OC I was getting confused what was what and who was who.

Also interesting fact here, I was on Steve's website/forum and i just realized that Phil was banned from there as well.

Anyways...I'd definitely check Phil's storefront out if he posts an address. Competition is always a good thing, but I still kinda question the validity of some of the statements in past ads where he claims of 10 years expirence in saltwater tanks. Another statement that caught me off guard was that he has over 700 gallons in his house.

Anyways I digress...I wish him the best and I do look forward to seeing his store and his selection of fish and corals. I have a couple things i want to order for the new 300gal DT

Ok...I've got a staff meting to get, but, from my understanding from talking to a couple LFS stores in order to order wholesale you have to have a physical storefront. I think they actually verify its a commercial store and not just someones basement.

But, what do i know? I don't own a LFS, I just buy from them :)
 
Ok can this thread be deleted. I dont even wanna look at this post anymore. Nothing good will come out of this so lets have this closed. I will keep my option to myself for now on.
 
wow...minga Phil doesn't even get to defend himself at all eh? All I know is I chatted with him on 3Reef and then happen to see him at CF...hooked me up with some nice frags on a cpl diff. occasions and that's it. You folks are hardcore lol
 
Yeah... we're "hardcore" because Phil has tried scamming/screwing over LOTS of people here on URS; with bad checks, accepting trades but never reciprocating, low-balling, not showing up to buy stuff with people waiting around on him... the list goes on. The fact that he thinks he will actually be successful (let alone in this business) is a joke. JMO of course! ;)
 
It's just hard for me to see some1 that has been on the up and up with me, get hammered like this, but I understand the animosity from those wronged so...anyways case closed eh?
 
Jacwil like i said in pm hes the reason most of people on here no longer will hold stuff for people unless they have delt with them before . Which sucks not only for the seller but allso the buyer . Like the stuff i was just selling im sure theres a couple people might be upset with me cause they pmed me first and i didn't hold .He kinda messed that whole thing up at 1 point i think he had 10 or 12 people holding stuff including myself before he was banned. where talking about fish in sumps and all kinds of stuff.
 
Most of this thread isn't flaming, it's factual occurrances and customer feedback.

Never underestimate the power of customer feedback. It saved me a potential headache when I moved to Australia and almost chose a moving company with a very poor reputation. The same goes with my house which we just finished renovating including a 100% new kitchen and finishing the basement.

My personal experiences with Phil/OceanParadise1/Coral Topia include a large frag trade (15 pieces) that he never fulfilled as well as 10 frags I held from my "Frag Tank Cleanout" thread which he never picked up or returned my calls.
