Coris wrasse not eating

I purchased this wrasse about 4 days ago after 24 hours the fish did eat some rods food. He did take a large chunk and swallowed it down. Now when I feed he seems interested but spits it out. I have had this happen to 2 other wrasse and they eventually died. Any thoughts. Is he choking/has food stuck in this throat? Strange this is the 3rd time this would happen, can't imagine it's only me seeing this issue.

try a variety of different sized foods (spirulina brine seem hard for fish to resist), make sure the water quality is high, and make sure he isn't being stressed out by competition.

Is he a juvenile? If so, they have small mouths and would probably do better with smaller foods.
