Tank shots on 10/18/2008.

I just got my 3 blue velvet nudibranches to take care of some of the red flatworms before I flatworm exit my tank. Here are some shots:

Time to update this thread with some new pictures. Lower your ISO, and try the healing brush to erase some specks. Looking forward to seeing what you can do, now that I've bent your ear about photography recently.

Do you still have the Velvet nudibranch? I may need to borrow your picture for my ID page, as I don't think that one is listed yet.

Great looking tank!!!

In hopes of setting up my own 75, I just recently started purchasing equipment as I get the money for it. I am very impressed and look forward to having something of that caliber some day.

I'll be bookmarking this thread to look back on as I build my tank.

Thanks for sharing!

Marc - These pictures were all taken with an old camera, so the prob with using a higher ISO was that the pics were grainy. These were just quick and dirty. Now that I have my new one, I'll take some better pictures and post.
For those of you who don't know, go Here for info on how to take great pictures of your tank.

I don't have the velvet nudi anymore but I'll look for a good shot and email it to you.

Mboos - if you have any questions, let me know and I'll try to help you not make some of the mistakes I made.

I'm looking forward to your new pictures then. Way to mislead all of us, using a throw-away like that. ;)

Beautiful!! Just amazing work, everything looks so incredibly healthy. Nice photos too.

How did the nudi's work out with the flatworms? Did you end up using FWE?

thanks Pete,

Alright, so here is the story of the nudis.

They do work. They started scarfing down those silly little flatworm immediately, and ate, and ate, and ate. The problem was, they do not have a very long life expectancy, and get blown around if you have any kind of flow (I have two vortechs turned way down). So while they greatly reduced the population of FW, they did not extinct them.

I did treat with FWE. It took two treatments, and now the tank is clean.

I will post FTS in about 2 weeks, once my frag tank is ready and I can take all the ugly trays out of my tank.

Lol, wow man I just read through the whole thread and that jump from a cycling tank pic to a coral packed amazing picture is great!! And you say its "just a quick update" lol.

Ok thanks for the info on your nudi experience, I was going to give them a try but have decided on a more drastic approach that includes FWE at the end.

Again, great tank!!

Thanks Marc (and thanks for the PM help a few weeks ago). As soon as I hang my lights (they are now resting on the tank) I'm going to hit you up for one of your top down boxes http://www.melevsreef.com/topdown.html

Pete, thanks again. I think you're making a wise decision. Save your money. Just follow the FWE instructions and you should be fine. Use good carbon.

Yeah...I had a little lazy time with my picture taking. Shame on me.
