Could temp drop be the cause of tank wipeout?

Yea, with the cold front that came through my wife opened up all the windows so the inside temp of the house was mid 50s, 60s. Funny thing, I tried to turn the house heat on and she complained so I shut it off.

big +1 for watching your house temps...........forget the tank if its going to get down in the 50 or 60 again in your house I would be taking my children to a hotel and worried about their safety ....insurance would cover the tank lol....im sure I could find a mysterious crack in it and opppss I lost it all and the floor lol but my kids would be irreplaceable if they got sick and something happened....wow 50 or 60s inside temp no wonder your tank crashed, I have an extra heater if you need it (space heater for camping lol)...
