Couldn't Have Happened At A Worse Time

What's the worst possible thing that could happen to your tank when you're 3 hours away and it's finals week? It CRACKING! My 24 gallon nano cube DX has cracked. It's not leaking, but it has a 4" crack in it. My mom has been gone all day, just got home, and saw it. She called me to tell me, I about died, and then proceeded to ask if duct tape would hold it until I got home on Friday! :eek1: I guess it could've been worse, the tank could've completely drained itself and all inhabitants could've died, but still, this sucks :( Things are going to be ok, I've got another cube coming this evening and inhabitants will be transferred, but I thought I would share my frustration with you guys

does anyone study for exams like you are supposed to?? a week ahead of time???

if you were like me (a rolemodel student) you would have been preparing for those 3 weeks ago.

No, nobody studies like they're supposed to. I'm studying for my final that I have tomorrow morning at 10:30 right now, then tomorrow I'll study for the one I have Thursday, then Thursday I will study for the one I have Friday.

yes, I studied all week for a music final that was 50% of my grade and then when I went to class yesterday he said that the copying people screwed up the test so he couldn't give it to us and we all received a 100% on the final.......so yes I studied for once and it turned into a big waste of time!

yeah i had that happen to me twice last semester. I studided all night for a marketing test and get to class and he let us take it home.

jbj tanks and cracking like this is normal

it probally had a small stress crack and just got worse over time

There was no rock touching the glass anywhere (other than the bottom obviously). The crack is on the front pane, the bowed one.

that is common on the jbj

usually cracked where you cant see it from being shipped separately (that is why most of the time they wont ship them unless they are on a pallet)

I knew it was a risk but I had hoped it wouldn't happen to me :( Acrylic doesn't crack, does it? At least not like glass?

I saw that...I didn't know if it was a rare thing or not. Wasn't that heat related or something though?

identical situation here, I have the evolution (biol 459) final tomorrow morning at 1030 and I haven't started studying yet....CSI is distracting me too much

oh well....its my last undergrad final and Cs get degrees right?

C's do get degrees, yes :) I say that I work well under pressure, Steve says that's the excuse for a lazy person  I guess I'm lazy then!

I thought "D" was for done.

I haven't ever really studied for exams for finals... but then again, for engineering classes, pretty much you either know it or you don't by the time exams come.
