Couple of mantis pics

Just removed these little guys from my main tank (hitchhikers) and put them in my fuge. The greenish one is actually black when he is not stressed. Any comments welcome, I don't know much about mantis.

They look TINY! What kind of rock did they come in on? Are you going to keep them?

I think they are both some type of haptosquilla... The second one is for sure, not so sure about the first one. That second one, I believe, was recently "discovered"
The only thing I can say about them is they seem to stay small (1.25 inches and less) and they do well in not so great water conditions... I will now pass it off to Dr. Roy...

Chariosquilla? Wow, I have never even heard of that one. Which is surprising considering my mantis expertise... umm yeah right :)
I was making my guess because its telson seemed to be shaped pretty much like the haptosquillas, but there seems to be a bit more of a cleft in it.

That link was right on... definitly a striped haptosquilla. They came from some Tonga rock. The red one is about 2" the haptosquilla about 1". There is at least one more haptosquilla in my main tank. Since they stay so small is it safe to just leave him in there? As for the other 2, they are now in my fuge and I haven't seen them for a while. Thanks for all the info.

The first one is a Chorisquilla, but it is not C. hystrix. It is closer to C. excavata, but I think it is different. I would really like to try to id it and the Haptosquilla.
