Yes he does have some amazing corals! A buddy and I ordered some frags from TCK and we were both unhappy with our orders. I think he shoots his stuff under reefbrites only which isn't a true rendering of how the corals look during daytime hours. I prefer to see my corals in daytime hours.
I can't wait for these things to grow either. I'll keep doing monthly updates and every once and a while I'll do a youtube update. I need to work on the channel stuff on Youtube. I've never really been into Youtube but I need to figure things out.

I love the progression of this tank. Very nice pictures. Beautiful corals. I want to follow the progress.
Thanks. I need some lessons from a local reefer on macro photography. I want to learn how to take those OMG photos!
In February the tank will be 1 year old and I really cannot wait until the corals fill out. However, some corals grow much faster than others do. I don't plan on fragging anything until they are all good size and even then I only plan on trimming to keep things from growing into one another or into the glass.
I do plan on keeping everything in my frag tank and in my display to grow multiples of the same corals for people that want frags.
The only bad thing I see in the near future is that my new aquascape was built with the thought of removing the overflow in the back and gaining 3-4" of tank depth. I have some tabling corals in the front of the tank that will have to be constantly trimmed. If this becomes too big an issue in the coming months/years I may upgrade to a slightly larger tank using the same rockwork and just moving things over from one tank to another.

I have decent macro photography skills and equipment. If you were anywhere near me, i could have helped you out.

Do you happen to know what program people use to edit youtube videos and make those nice intros?

Try the YT video editor. It lets you add music and take out sounds of the kids/family/dog/cat/you breathing etc :lolspin:
It also lets you add various transitions effects for clip to clip introduction.
Other than that, you'd have to look at various commercial software. Look forward to more videos.

I'm going to try and shoot some videos of my setup tonight. I plan to shoot some short 3-5 minute videos of various parts of the setup.
In the videos I'll explain why I chose to do certain things based on my past experiences.
