Well this guy has been in the colony for a while now. Coral is healthy and growing, what do you think?

i think acro crabs have more rounded claws as opposed to dangerous pointy clawed crabs......hopefully someone else will chime in

I would have to agree, that lil guy looks like a devil. The acro crabs tend to be pink or white with almost a set of black sunglasses very cool

The only thing it is missing is the blue eyes.Looks like your tort has some tissue dammage on the left side of the crab. He will not eat alot but will eat acros.I would get it out.

I had one and watched him break one of the corallites off one of my acros and eat it. It's up to you.

BAD.

Somehow, if you noticed, these "bad" crabs tend to have eyes that are prominent and set far apart.... the acro crabs have smaller eyes... :P

A have this acro RTNing and couldn't find any flatworm or such. I wait for the morning to view the tank in the dark. I see my emerald crab ( flat tip pinchers ) munching on the the coral. I put the frag on a rack away from the LR. I just wanted to see if the crab was eating it because it was dying or the crab was causing the damage. The acro stopped RTN so I concluded that the crab caused the damage. But the crab is not touching the other corals. The emerald does have hairy legs. I do love porcelain crabs, they are filter feeder. my conclusion is Hair crab = bad.
