crabs wanted

I know a guy that got a small spiney from baja california while fishing and 5 years later they were one short for new years dinner and he pulled it out of his tank and right in to the steamer yumyum

i've got a gorilla crab, you can have him if I can catch him. It hasn't been going well...any suggestions? He won't come out of his little hiding spot.

the way we got ours out was by taking out the rock he was in and poking him out with a stick into a bucket LOL

Ive got a medium size guy, black claws, shaped like an emerald mithrax's, with black spots all over, with an ivory background, id have to guess he came from the philipines, I dumped him in my fuge a mo ago, he should still be alive. However, Ive been recording his behavior myself, when I can catch him in action, but when i get bored ill ship him off to ya!

i found a crab but darted into rock before i could get him he is smaller than my finger nail ile send him to you if i can get it across border but anyideas on getting him out he is really salty water right now hopin he will crawl out or die i just dont want him( he is greenish black with sharp little white claws ) In new tank

i.e evil crab

get big and vicious

I just found one of my red mithrax crabs dead, i'm not sure how long it was dead. if you want him, i'll ship him out, but honestly, the tissue is already smelling bad.

So very true on the stone crab. I have one that is about three years old now and getting pretty large. He shreds every other crab that ever makes it into the tank.

I was told by someone that if I had crabs from live rock that there is a place that is looking for them and to freeze them and send them. I didn't know who or where so I asked Liveaquaria they told me to check out you.
I found out today that you wanted them alive. I have them frozen they have been this way for about 2 months.
Are you interested in them?

I have several different speices that came out of 1000 lbs of fresh uncured Bali live rock. It came straight out of a ocean live rock farm into a box to my supplier, into his holding tank for a day then back into a box and then to my clients aquariums.

Six months later I ended up having to dip the rock because there were too many crabs and things started disappearing Anemones mussels clams some coral polyps and a couple small gobies. I got about 2 dozen crabs just from one aquarium. This same aquarium is now showing signings of crabs again. I have saw three different ones this week along with a baby mantis (1/2").

I am extremely happy with the rock, although I didn't realize that this rock was very light weight and I ended up having too much. So I still have some left over after filling four average aquariums (100 to 180 gallon).
