cream angel

hey all,

I recently bought a cream angel (yellow tailed angel) and it has taken a fancy to my corals. Has anyone else experineced this? I was told that it should be ok and not eat my corals. Can anyone tell me any tricks to catch fish without pulling my reef apart or buy an expensive fish trap?

What kind of angel is a "cream"/yellow tail?

If he's only eating certain corals -- I'd consider removing the corals instead...but I'm an angelholic

there are few "reef safe" angels, just the Genicanthus group.

What is he picking on? Is it just a peck now and then, or constant picking?

its just a peck or two on the acros. however he has a taste from pulse coral frags..which i dont mind! I may sell him labelled as a xenia contoller! hahaha

I have an Elibi's (Is that how you spell that?) that has picked at SPS for two years, but never done any damage. It was worth the risk to me to give him a long-term test.

Whats one of those!? I can not see any damage to the acros but some of my xenia frags have had a trim hahaha! saves me cutting them back!
