"Creative" picture thread

My father carved this in the early 70's when we lived in southeast Alaska. His work had him in close contact with the native population in the area, this carving of a bear is done in the style of the native artists.

I call this one SUN-Flower

Mna that's no easy task. I LOVE the colors in your Jesse. The "frame" is pretty cool too. Right down to the little nicks and all. Apercula's is cool because of the work, and that is it was done by his dad. Living in AK currently I can really dig it. Though I gotta give it to John for his SUN-flower. It's a cool picture, and a creative use of the the sun in making a sunflower.

Here's my "submission". didn't get in in time for the vote. As if that mattered since I was the judge and technically out of the running anyway :). It's an airbrush painting I did this weekend. The subject should be pretty obvious, or maybe not.

I agree that sunflower is Amazing. I have some really cool "creative" picture's but they're not mine. You should see lighting steel wool on fire on the end of a wire coat hanger then twirling it around at night. Really awesome.

Hopefully I can get out this week and get an entry in. Too many Dr appointments and too much pain. :hammer: I got an SI joint epidural injection on both sides and so far it seems to be helping diminish the pain a bit. :D

Louis, it's not that obvious to me. Looks nasty though!!!

I agree, nice sunflower John. Pick this weeks subject please.

First off, great submissions by everyone else.

Jesse I too like the frame on yours, and Apercula I like the story behind the carving.

Thank you to everyone for the nice comments. Being newer to photography I like to experiment with different things, and I like that way a narrow aperture makes star patterns with lights, so I thought it would be cool to try as a flower using the sun during the day.

Thanks Louis, I am honored that you selected mine. That painting is amazing, it looks like an actual photo.

For this week's topic let's go with "In the Garden"

This is pretty broad and could include anything in or around the garden. As usual, try to think outside the box and have some fun with it.

Grizzly bear :). Guess you don't see them much in PA? :lolspin: With all the black bears they shoot there a Griz wouldn't have a prayer. Apparently my neighbor saw one walking down the road the other day near my place!
