Critter identification

Would someone please identify what these are for me? I added live rock to my tank about 6 months or longer ago and in the past couple months these have started to grow on various areas of my LR. I'm surprised my 6" and 4" triggers have not taken them out.

Google Vermatid snails. I think those are them.

I agree with Rick. Get them out now...they spread fairly quickly. Another option is to place a piece of epoxy over them,

Right now the tank is FOWLR. Will they just die in time?

It's hard to see in the photo, but it does have what appears to be small dusters around the mouth at the end of the tube.

no, they won't die, they will likely thrive with no competition. the duster end is the stinging part and all they need is a little tidbit of passing food occasionally to keep making more.

I'm willing to bet that you have even more on the underside/back of your rockwork. they don't need light, just water flow to bring them the food.

You're right about that. When I took my LR out to clean all the sand off of it, I found others on the underside of other pieces. I'll start chiseling tonight.
