Crystal View Tank in LB?

Anyone have any experience with Crystal View Tanks located in Long Beach? They advertise their aquariums on ebay and wonder if anyone has dealt with them yet. I'm plotting out my future tank for after our move and will likely do an in-wall. Looking into a 180 or larger. Still debating between glass and acrylic, though glass may be closer to my price range.

Ken, what dimensions are you looking for? I'm also pricing my future tank with different lfs and vendors. I'll let you know what I find.

Hey Kenfuzed, I've been shopping around as well, the cheapest place i found so far was coral oasis. I checked with Tongs, pacific reef, and reefcollection. With Coral Oasis, they gave me a quote that for a leemar that was cheaper than the other LFS that use visio or another brand. If you do glass go with starphire on the front

I purchased my Leemar 4 sided starphire glass from Jeff's Exotic Fish,
he beat the 10 other quotes, from all round So. Ca., by about 10%.
He must have lost money on the deal, hoping I would buy accessories,
i.e. sump, skimmer, lights, etc. HTH Dennis

I'm really leaning toward glass. I only contemplated acrylic after seeing some recent large tanks of fellow members. My greatest fear is scratches so I'll likely go glass just for piece of mind. So far I'm thinking of a 180 (72x24x24) or a 220 (72x30x24). So far I've been quoted 700 from one place for regular glass and 875 from another place for polished front. Both were on 180's with euro braced tops and single overflows. Dual overflows and additional holes for a closed loop were quoted at $30 per hole.

I still haven't sought a quote from Crystal View Aquarium in LB or any of the others recommended here.

Hey Ken,

I went to tong's today just to have them give me a quote. They called back a few hours later and quoted me a visio 120 for 600. That includes a trapezoid overflow with two holes for the drain adn 2 holes drilled in the back of the tank for returns. Also, that's including starphire on the front panel. If i wanted eurobrace it would be 800. Those prices, after calling around sounded really good actually. Where did you call and get your quotes from?

Tongs=ripoff....

I got a quote from them for a visio 60 cube with no oflow and no holes and they wanted $500! I laughed and hung up!

One quote was from Jan's and the other from Pasadena Tropical. I still need to check out a few others in the area.

I just got a quote from jeff's and they beat out tong's pricing by 25 since the tank isn't that expensive. Also, he said he would bump our memebership to platinum haha.
