Colors are looking great Bello, things are looking great considering the short time it's been since the dipping torture. Those latest acro purchases look cool, not the piece of crap green stag of course but the first three. The third pic with the blue polyps - that's the one i'd steal if i got near your display.

I can't believe how much more saturation you have in the coral pigments now compared to a year ago, the colors in this muted pic are just beautiful -you should be really proud of how far your tanks have come :thumbsup:

I'm no expert on sps ids but I'd hazard a guess on the two middle shots..
second one down looks like a blue tennuis and the third looks like a german blue tort.
must be a relief to be aefw free..
now remember, you must assume every new addition is carrying aefw and treat them accordingly before they make it into your tank.

Sorry I've been away for a bit. I've been sulking in my current bed of GHA and finishing up a few random bits of the build that were 99.9% done... Now they be 100% done :celeb3:

Now I'm back and ready to start chasing around these magical colors you all talk about so much. I've been up to so many little changes (and maybe a bit or two of sneakiness) that I need to just see how it changes everything for a bit.

So I was just checking in... seeing that all is looking good... giving you a :thumbsup: and wishing you all some happy reefing :wavehand: Keep it up, it looks like you'll have some colorful fireworks in there sooner rather then later!

Pretty sure there's far more that I want from biggles's tank, than he does from mine. Anyways, I figured out how to deal with Kevin, turns out he's hot for flubber . Should keep me safe for a bit

Lol, no point in stealing, I'll be happy to share...some of them at least . I wanted to know the scientific names, because I'm fed up of referring to corals as "That green fat one" or "That ugly piece of crap brown one" :lol:

The Setosa is one of my all times faves, simply because it survived all the abuse I threw at it, and it looks great to boot

I'm using about 10 drops zeobak, and 10 drops biomate, once a week, till it runs out. After that, we'll see. Will probably try out prodibio or special blend, lets see. I still refrigerate it, cos its too expensive for me to risk it

I like the blue polyped one a lot. Got it as single branch frag, and was doing really well, until the AEFW. I've now made about 5 frags of it, and the process start again. I'll be trying the bonsai graft method to try and get a more uniform colony look once they grow out a bit.

Thanks Matt . I'm still paranoid about the damn AEFW's!!!! The blue one, I received as a Hoeksemai, yet the pics on the net don't look similar to it. I'm still very confused about its ID.

The second one, as you said, it was sold to me a German Polyp , so I'm really hoping that you're right about that . I've still far too many brownies/turdballs that still need to get better, but it seems I'm on the right track.

Crap, just when I was soo nice and lazy-comfy . I did take one pic recently, where I wanted to fill in the gaps between acros with zoas, what do you think? Salinity is usually 35ppt, but swings between 33-35ppt as I get lazier. The green acro has indeed colored up to a beautiful....Green

What do i think of sticking garbage on the rocks - i reckon you'll have to use putty AND glue to get acros to stick on top of them. I swear you do these things just to annoy me Bello :crazy1:

Btw if those flubber buttons start stinging real corals or poisoning stuff don't come whining here about it - you'll get no bloody sympathy mate.

My friend has performed extensive research on the effects of zoas in close proximity with acros (he's basically a lazy bastard), and I'm happy to report that no adverse effects were observed .
