Looks like a great setup! Looking forward to these tanks' progress.

Thanks!! It's taking quite a while to get some nice sps. So far have a few frags and some mari colonies, plus I really need to figure out how to use a cam :headwalls:

Nice setup, but why did you choose for 2 tanks and not for one bigger one?

I actually had a 265 gal system at the same spot before. The problem is, I live in a condo, and the tank pretty much had to be built in my house. Didn't fit through the front door.

Another thing was, I hated the central brace on that tank, could never get proper lighting there. Plus, that tank was 19 mm ordinary glass, these are low iron. I expect to move from this place, maybe 5 years down the line, and this would be easy to move.

My only regret is that my Hippo tang, which is about 12 years old, can't be kept elsewhere :(

I am a huge fan of multiple tank setups like this. Looking forward to following along!

Thanks! I love dwarf angels, and the initial plan as to accommodate a couple in each tank, but.......seems like I love sps a wee bit more :)

Very nice tank! look forward to this progressing.

Thanks!! I hope things continue as is. Have had a miserable run of 2 years with sps tips dying, with no clue why. Turns out, my RO/DI was literally poisoning the system. :(

Very unique set up. I like it, it's like the turn tables of aquariums. LOL

Lol, I never thought of that! But I see what you mean :fun4:. I wanted to create 2 separate "looks" for the same system, hopefully, as things progress, should do better :)

Sweet looking Setup!

Thanks! I hope your tank comes around :)

Any specific stocking plans now?

Fish: Will probably just try and an add a Flame angel (if it behaves) to the Acropora tank. Will try and not meddle with the rest of the fish :)

Coral: I'm done with the maricultured colonies. Hopefully, I can source some quality frags, and as they grow out, can swap out the mari colonies. In any case, given the amount of negative space in the Acropora tank, can always add more rock....but not sure if I really want to... fingers crossed :)

I'm honored :D.

Now if only I can get any of these corals to color up like yours! Any advice would be great!

I would not consider myself an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I do have a reefing philosophy that I try to adhere to as best I can.

My 3 pillars to reefing..

1. Stability.

2. Less is more. (In my years of reefing I have learned that the less I can manage to do the better. Others will call this their KISS approach. Certainly there are things that need to get done but at the same time I don't have to be OCD).

3. Patience.
