i live in so-cal so normally water temp isnt a problem, but its been a bit chilly/foggy here the last few days...and i have just started curing my LR....OUTSIDE, with no heater...needless to say, the water is pretty chilly...(as in prolly55-60)
do i need to put heaters in the tubs to keep my rock alive?
AND if so, how hot should it be, bc i AM trying to kill everything except the bacteria, so i wouldnt want it like TANK WARM now would i?

Agree, keep temp at "normal" reef temperature(s). IMHO, 78 - 82 is a good range. Keeping water at slightly elevated temperature, lets say 84, will increase metabolism of the bacteria, so it could help cooking process. And don't forget to have plenty of flow!
