CurrentUSA AquaPod 12 Gallon Aquarium Lighting Question

With the stock lighting that comes with this setup, 27 watt sunpaq and 25 watt actinic, what kind of corals have you been able to keep. SPS, LPS, or just softies?? How about zoos? I would appreciate your input on this 12 gallon. Thanks

Pretty much all LPS - zoo's will do fine also.

SPS is limited. Only a few species will survive, like montipora caps.

I would think that even monti caps would only barely survive under that lighting. I had a monti cap under one of those 96w coralife fixtures in a 10g and it still only verrrry slowly grew. Never looked quite right or colored up well. So, to answer your question, IMHO and IME, I would shy away from SPS under the lighting you describe here. Shrooms, some zoas, xenia, GSP's, etc would probably be fine.

Thanks, kind of what I thought. It seems to me 27 watts would hardly grow green hair algae.:p But then again, what do I know, I don't own one! However, you might get some pretty neat softies growing in one.
