Custom Tank Builders?

Those planet tanks look like old oceanic tanks imho. Solid but lack a modern feel.

I am in the market for a new big tank (72x36x30). I have a Leemar 120ish now and love the quality. I was assuming I'd go with Leemar again. What makes you conclude that Visio surpasses Leemar? I can't find much info on Visio on the web other than the manufacturer's website - advanced aqua tanks. I'd be very interested in what you know before I pull the trigger.

In the southeast A.G.E acrylic and glass exhibits can't be beat. In the west it was Leemar but Visio has taken the crown in glass (ATM in Vegas for acrylic). And in the east REEF SAVVY hands down. They're second to nobody on planet earth! Then coast to coast and Miracles in glass. Jmo

The original Leemar builder left not too long ago. They had a sub par builder as a stand in but have since replaced him with someone new. The Visio tanks are top notch now to the point of them raising prices after LeeMar lost their OG builder. I promise if you specify that you want a PREMIUM TANK they will come through for you. They polish and bevel the glass now to near perfection and they will do rimless in sizes that LeeMar won't do anymore. That website is old and outdated so don't buy too much into that. Visio has skills now. Seasoned vet's IMHO and better quality then LeeMar now. Many lfs around here (Vegas) have stopped dealing with a LM. Just a Fyi.

went through this thread for some info and I cannot find PA website. When I google it some city aquarium comes up "Blue Planet Aquarium." Anyone have a link??

Planet Aquarium does not have a website.

Ran across this thread I started. Update: I bought a 465 gallon Planet Aquariums tank, and set it up last November. It is now a thriving SPS tank. build quality is excellent, and the price much better than AGE. This is a video of the tank shortly after I set it up. Not great quality, but you get the idea. Tank stays incredibly clean because I have about 42,000 gph peak internal flow from four MP60s and two MP40s.

Just noticed the pvc bottoms so I take back what I said about them not looking modern. That's pretty up to date. I just don't like the cross bracing.

Great looking tank. I am really happy with both of mine from Planet Aquariums.

What's your budget?
CTC is the most expensive builder I priced. 2300.00 for a 100g cube with standard glass. I will admit they are a work of art though.

BTW - Marineland no longer does anything custom.
AGE is my choice in custom aquariums. We have 3 in our store including a drop off reef some of you may have seen at MACNA. Best quality tanks and great people to deal with.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Visio starphire diamond edge custom tank based on this and endless hours of research. Almost ended up ordering a reef Savvy rank , but shipping is rather high and I prefer somebody local.

However, I can't find much info or pics of Visio custom diamond edge or premium starfire tanks. I just keep on finding old reviews of Visio tanks leaking or breaking and Lee Mar tanks being superior.

However now I'm coming across more folks complaining about their Lee Mar tanks as well.

I also heard good things about Visio and would have gone with them for my 340 build, but they would not do a eurobrace on my size (82x32x30). I ended up going with A.G.E., spending more, but getting everything I wanted, including euro-brace, PVC bottom and external glass overflow (Vision would not warrant that part). Can't wait for it to be finished!
