Cutting out a baffle ....

.... with the sump running?

I'm moving away from an in sump skimmer to an external model and would like to expand my fuge to include the soon-to-be-vacated skimmer section. I cannot think of a reason why I couldn't remove the glass baffle. Silicone is long cured.

Can anyone think of something I'm not considering?

Nope. Just score the silicone on both sides if possible and the baffle should come loose pretty easily. I would wear heavy gloves just in case it breaks. Don't want to go getting all that blood in the tank!
