cyano

I have had my tank a year. I initially got the normal cyano after a few months and it went away. I have four maxi jet 1200's to help with flow in my 90. I have not changed position and they are all working properly still and all of a sudden after no cyano for 8-10 months it has reappeared. Water parameters are good with the exception of calcium being a little bit high. I am stumped as to why now after nothing has changed this happens, any ideas?

how is your lighting? even though it is a bacteria I have noticed older bulbs will cause canyo to reappear.

I just replaced the bulbs in june

you really don't have alot of flow, if you could add the mods to the maxijets (2 of them) that would really help out alot IMO.

I have the fans on the jets for the upgrades, that is not including my main pump.

Usually it will show up when phospahte and or nitrate rises. Sometimes CO2. Detrius build up contributes quite alot.

Were you referring to the upgrade for the maxijets that improve water flow? (looks like a fan shroud)
