d2mini's "Essential Focus" Mixed Reef Build

Ok, local help has been enlisted!

Philly guy, some good points.
I don't think the wall would be a problem with the heat but the french doors might (sunlight).
For water lines, those would be run behind the baseboards like I did with my old cube tank.

Vinny, no pizza but there may be breakfast tacos!

Just saying. :D

Sorry Jack, it goes there if she that decides where it goes says it goes there!!!

Coverin my butt!!! :)

Dennis - I'd be curious how many folks were necessary to get the tank into the house, and how many you figure are necessary to get the tank on the stand. I'm going to pull the trigger on a nearly identical dimensioned-tank this week (and it might well be an ELOS), and I'm wondering if I need to hire some folks from the LFS to set the tank up.

I like the tank location version 2 - I've always thought that it was a pity to place a tank where at least 3 sides couldn't be viewed. But I'd suggest pulling it away from the wall by at least 4". Otherwise, salt spray/humidity from a rimless can cause some real drywall issues.

There will be 4 of us and we'll be using those suction cups thingies.
I think with those suction cups, it may be possible to lift with two strong guys, but personally I'd feel safer with 4, especially with the cost and the fact that it came all the way from Italy. ;)

You want 4. I moved my tank with two but getting it on top of the taller stand was not happening without a third person. We could dead lift the tank but that was it. This suction cups are the way to go. Makes the whole thing more manageable. No crushed fingers etc.

And the tank is on the stand! :bounce2:
Hung the light fixture yesterday, too.
Pics of the tank coming soon.
