Daniel's RSM 250 SPS tank

Tanks is still looking awesome Daniel, I'm working on filling mine up as much as yours ... still. :) Colony trimming and re-arrangement and removal stresses me out, but I will have to do something soon or the entire lower half of the tank will be a shaded dead area.

Thanks for the picture update, and god luck with the new job, I hope it works out.

Damn Daniel! (cue meme here )

That last update is really awesome! Glad to see the tank is doing great. I think removing that policipora and those acros was a great idea, tank looks so much better.

Thank you Josh and Mark !!!

Remember to increase the YouTube video quality to 1080 for a nice tank view.

Cheers
Daniel

Hi Guys

All is going well in the tank. I wanted to share these pictures.

I am having fun seeing how an Acro colony is growing from what was left (encrusted) in the rack.

That rack has always been under hydroponics lights, to grow the Macros in the fuge.

I had 2 small frags saved from my last crash (~3 years ago). They grew in 2 beautiful small colonies. One encrusted the rack. I sold that one around 8-9 months ago. It was left a flat encrusted Acro section on the rack. Just FLAT but with polyps.

The second colony was moved to the display tank and is the one pictured that continue growing.

Now the pictures....

The lights. You can see the rack under direct plant growing light.

Hi All

Since July 2018 I have not done a posting...SORRY!!!

So here are some upside down pictures I just took a few minutes ago. Enjoy !!

For my records (aka memories) and to all of us to enjoy this frag. I will keep it updating.

July 2014 picture. This SSC colony grew and then RTN after a nutrient issue around January-February 2015. I was able to glue a HALF INCH frag in a plug

November 14 2015. The very small frag survived and was relocated to a rock.

December 7 2015

January 3 2016

January 30 2016

February 28 2016

June 17 2016. By accident, during my cleaning of dead corals, I broke his small tip. On this picture tissue have already grown over the tip skeleton and frag continued encrusting

July 22 2016, some small branches have started to grow (see small tips)... Hurray !!

August 4 2016. Taken a few minutes ago.

I will continue updating this growing, so we can all can enjoy how from an encrusted section branches are starting to grow (I believe they will finish in branches).

I was looking the last 2 pictures and it is noticeable the growing in the branches from July 22 till today August 4.

Guys..... PLEASE !!! keep you all your fingers crossed and send positive waves to this survivor of 2 tanks issues with nutrients.

Best
Daniel

Update next posting

Stunning, Daniel!
So dense and so healthy in there!
Really good to see your tank again.
Considering the troubles you went trough a couple years ago with the sps,it’s amazing how healthy they are now.. and if I know you, all you did to bring them back to such good health was to get your hands out of there and let the tank heal.
You have a real beauty of a tank there, Dan!
Great job!!
