Couple quick questions Dan. Are you tracking how much heat you have to add to the tank to maintain the target temp? I'm kinda curious on the heat load of the tank, it being in the basement. I'm trying to figure out if I need to pre-install a split ac unit or chiller while they are still framing my basement.

Second, you doing any kind of color correction on your shots? Have you checked out the Chromoholics site and calibrated your camera with a color checker under your T5 mix?

I'll have to get back to you on the first question. I have heaters set on a controller at the moment, and I know they're not on more than 1:1 (on : off).

I use a WhiBal card most of the time for white balancing. It's hard because there are so many different color temperatures with T5 bulbs, but I will check out the Chromoholics thing.
 
The Chromoholics site has a script for CS3 that you feed a full shoot of a color checker into and it spits out a color profile. It takes 5 or 10 minutes to produce, but its all automated so you just walk away and get a cup of tea :)

Its a great tool for producing fast color profiles.
 
Finally got my camera box. I'm actually a little disappointed because it's smaller than I expected... and came a lot later than expected. It's built okay, but just small. That and too many holes. I probably have to plug up a few to make sure water doesn't get inside while shooting. Also the nylon screw is very long, so I'll have to cut it so doesn't make the box all wobbly.

Anyway, here are a few quick shots. I probably need to get the hang of it.

That looks awesome Dan! Makes me wanna get rid of 75% of the rock I was gonna put in my 190g lol. That open look makes it look so much larger. I love how you have individual islands for some of the SPS too.
