Nice JTC, those are some impressive colors, I could never get used to the ushios, but you seem to have them working for you I use mb7 because it is a bit cheaper and does not require refrigeration. I find it to be effective, I dose a bit more than zeo's, but I can tell you it will clear cyano in short order, at least it wiped it out for me... Love the macro shots man

Thanks Perry ya i dose Mb7 also . Its what I used to start the tank.
Will increase dosing see if it helps.

Thanks i appreciate the kind words. Ya give it time did u get same kind. Sometimes it takes a bit for it to acclimate in your tank. Do you feed alot? I am waiting for more gorgs i need the purple one and the orange with white polyps. And some other ones i like them alot.

Sorry all i know its a yellow gorgonian thats what my lfs told. I feed oyster feast and reef frenzy alternating. And feed 3 cubes a day for fish because I can get the po4 and no3 high enough

A little update will be working on my floating canopy so i can finish adding a 4 bulb and some reefbrites for pop here's the canopy so far



I got sidetrack with doing things to my tank. Because my other toy took first priority. Jus did a stage 2 dinan upgrade on my M235 and i got to say dang its fast.

Anyways back to the reef plans to do something different on the canopy to break up the white. I will post when done . And the tank has been doing good growth is starting to show some promise and colors are getting better. The red and orange and blue is coming back to my asd rainbow mille.


I am loving this gorg the polyp extension is just insane.

Nice work on the hood so far Dan, getting some crazy PE on that gorg which must mean it's loving life in your display mate. That acro is obviously a happy little camper, is that green cyano on the rocks in the last pic or something else mate.
More pics of the hood construction process would be cool as you start adding the lighting components, i still haven't started on mine over six months into the new display lol.

Thanks Andrew i haven't finished the light hood yet i might go a different route. Tempted to pick up 10 bulb ati led fixture. Not sure yet. Ya that was a green cyano.

Here's a little update things are starting to take off and morph to different colors and finally confident enough to add more of my RR pieces. Alk consumption went from 30ml to 80 in a month.
