Thanks Scott I can only wish my tank can look good like how yours are just spectacular. .I can try to make the set up look good atleast with brown sticks..lol:o

Curious does my aquascape look to unnatural? If you think theres a way to make it better please feel free to give me some pointers. .

I like the scape buddy, I think after it covers in coralline algae and coloured sticks it will look awesome. The over hangs are what does it for me I'm a big fan of them and also when people use a little imagination which you obviously have just by looking at it :)

Hi Dan:wave:, your a popular guy around RC so I thought I'd pop in and say hi.
The tank is coming up a treat and the attention to detail is excellent, the scape is really nice and when it's covered in colorful sticks it will be awesome. I'm in the middle of setting up a new tank and I'm really enjoying taking my time and doing things right, but I'm constantly telling myself not to rush it just because I want water in it:) I have subscribed as I think this will be a spectacular tank when done.

A little update I got the light shelf done thanks to Daveocean for building the shelf for me I just finish painting it and installed the pully system and got the most the things I need for the automatic lift. I will have 2 safety feature added to the lift system just in case anything it will not drop completely into the water..I need to place the cables out the way but for now this is how far I got done...still a bit messy

painted it with a little bit of texture to match walls

Here's more pics needs to tidy up the wires and clean up more but this is what it looks like so far

now there's lights..only the 2 250 w on

Looking great buddy! Love the scape and the depth of your tank
This setup is going to be awesome! Keep up the good work my friend

Quick question: any reason you didn't hang the lights from the ceiling?
the shelf is for the winch so I can move the fixture up and down with a button..and all the ballast for halide and also the wires will be up on the shelf also along with an eb4 ..the pully system is installed already just need the eb4 and it should be operational..

On probs Dan, I look forward to seeing your build progress:D.
The light rack looks really awesome, I'm going for a similar system in raising the lights but not as high tech as yours. Mines more of a manual system though. I like that sort of system as when you have to do stuff in the tank all you have to do is raise to lights and your away.
Its coming along very nicely Dan, when do you think there will be water in it?

Ah ok, really cool.
Thank you I hope so..I try to make it easier on me to take care of the tank just by pushing buttons ..

thank you my friend I was gonna go with a moving floating canopy but I figured it was cheaper for me to go this route and also cleaner look and I will be able to put the ballast on the shelf and they're hidden ..ya like I said my goal is to make life easier as much as possible ..all things I am doing now are the things I wish I had done on my previous build..ya you will like having an ease to raise you lights my friend for maintenance and for coral acclimation..can't wait to see what you do...I will be filling hopefully at the end of the month but if not its ok I still got a lot of things to add specially my control box that I need to finish.
