Darken Red Planet

Hello all,

I got a mini colony of ORA Red Planet that is darkening up. When I first got it it was red and bright green. (1 week later)Now it like a maroon color and the green is fading away. I have it positioned in the middle of my tank(level) I have also noticed that my monties have been darkening up also

PH:8.0-8.1
ALK: 9.2
Cal: 400pm
MAG: 1350
temp:79-81

Any help would be great

Check no3 and po4. Elevated levels can cause sps to darken. My RP went a dark red brown before it went back to green and red after I got it.

Could just be from the change in light. It seems, in my experience, that red planet tends to color up better in a slightly lower light then other sps.

I have also heard this, I dont know my par in that area but it should be good lighting.
