Hi there, Our Darts have been hiding out for about a week now in there house / hole and have not been out at all. Any ideas as to why they would be holding up in there.. They usually are late sleepers and arise about a half hour after the actinics come on in the morning but now they just hide out in there. Do they nest / breed in holes and stand on guard ??? I can see them and they just look look at us and wave back when I shine a light in on them.

thanks form any help you gave give

Like most species in the Goby family, Dartfish tend to be a bit shy. It is not unusual for them to hang out most of the day in seclusion. At night they often venture out to feed on the nocturnal critters such as "pods". If you recently added a new fish to your tank it may be part of the reason they are hiding out more now. I don't know that much about their breeding habits, unfortunately.
