Now I just need to get the lighting set up and suspended over the tank and I'll be rockin!!!

Also, still waiting for my Vertex Alpha 250 Skimmer to arrive but thanks to John (vanillagorilla), I won't have to wait to get the tank up.... THANKS JOHN!!!

what a sweet looking tank, great dimensions. the woodwork is sick! i need a friend like that!

can't wait to see your skimmer, thats one sweet skimmer from the looks of it. also looking forward to seeing the corals in the new tank. have fun!

Mac- Thanks, I think if you get that 4'x3'x20" that's gonna trump mine possibly:D

Vanilla- Thank you again John! Did you get the A200 yet, how does it look? Are you gonna do some trials on it??? Lots of questions...

Thanks everyone!

yep, its the Warner Marine K-2. I got it this past week. I have pics in the frag forum.

Looking good! Glad to see it finally up and running.

I like the way you positioned and placed the tank. Your aquascape looks good, although i prefer separate islands. :p Once you get some corals to fill in the spaces it will look great.

Congrats and be sure to post pictures and a review on the new skimmer.

dave, after further review i think you need a 4'x4' tank in that corner. is your wife giving me a dirty look right now?....lol.

seriously though, it looks great, but i agree with sonny and that you could make seperate islands instead of one continuous flow of rock as you definately have the room for it. it will look great either way though.

Sonny & Mac- I prefer the separate islands myself but it wasn't quite looking how I "wanted" it to when I was fiddling with the placement. I'm still not opposed and may just move the "one" piece that joins the right and left side together.

I'll try it and post up later to see what you think...

Mac- You're killing me... 4x4:lol: I would LOVE that but, yes, my wife would be on the front page of the AZ Republic for spousal murder, LOL!!!

Sonny- As soon as I get the new skimmer I'll be posting a thorough review!

Thanks guys, keep the feedback coming~!

Dave, tt looks great. Hard to believe, but that stand may even trump the tank - beautiful craftmanship and design with the side access.

Thanks Brad, my friend outdid my wildest expectations on the stand and canopy~!

How's your move going, did you get situated yet? And then the big question... when are you gonna put your reef back up:D ???

looks great Dave, all those corals are going to fill this tank fast :)

if i can make a suggestion, there is one rock in the center of the tank that connects the two islands, i wonder if it would look better if you pulled that one rock so that the islands would be clearly defined like in reefbums tank.

see the one rock in the center with orange on the top?

Can't wait to see some canopy pictures too. That rimless tank looks so good I'm surprised you are putting a canopy on it, but even if it's half as good as the stand, it will look great too.

I haven't moved yet, not until July. I'm still slowly taking my tank down one frag at a time. It's much less painful than seeing it all go at once.

I'll get the next tank going as quick as I can after the move. I'm hoping to have all the equipment ready to go even before the move. I'll just need a tank to put it in when I get there.

Brad

Nick- Thanks... As far as that rock connecting the two sides goes, it's funny you say that. I was just toying with that idea and mentioned it to Sunny. I'm gonna try it out and post up pics to see how you guys like it. Two islands is kind of what I was looking to do to begin with but I did this and I kind of liked it and just left it. I'm gonna try the other way though just to see!

Brad- Actually the canopy is going to be suspended above the tank and not sitting on top of it at all! I really like the suspended look and didn't want to spoil my rimless tank with a canopy on top:D

I'm doing my best to get the lighting canopy completed but keep getting interrupted with work:mad: I'll be sure to post up once it's done....

Dave, how's the skimmer working out? any leaks from the output pipe or did you get it sealed up?

Nope, no leaks anywhere... I siliconed it up pretty good and it seems to be working well. I did have to modify the output though, it wasn't long enough to reach where I needed it to. I still have all your pieces and you won't know the difference once I return it. I took good care to make sure you get it back the same way you gave it to me, minus the silicone of course!
