The Light Canopy

Here's some more pics for you guys.... Shortly after I mounted the canopy the T5's went out. After further inspection tonight I discovered that one of the gold caps on my UVL Super Actinics was coming off the end of the bulb :eek2: So, tomorrow I'll have to go get another bulb to replace it.

These are with the Radium's only:

I'm still gonna tweak the aquascape for those of you wondering??? I just haven't gotten to it yet. Going to take out the piece of rock that connects the two islands and make them separate....

By the way, thanks for stopping in Chris! I forgot to thank you for your support and stopping in~!

oh.. i think the rock work looks great the way it is. but... the chains holding the canopy on are kinda ugly. maybe some thin metal cable would look better. imo.

I was gonna use thin cable but didn't trust the pieces holding it up??? I still may just do that though, just get something stronger to hold it that lets me sleep at night not wondering if the canopy will crash down on top of the tank...

My wife doesn't like them either but, I just wanted to get it up there. I'm open to suggestions...:)

nice, so do you have them on a adjustable transformer, so that you can slow them down?

something like this.
.
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2552559&numProdsPerPage=60&retainProdsInSession=1&y=10&x=17

with DC fans, you can drop the voltage all the way down, they will just get slower and slower. with AC fans you get to a point where you can only slow them down so much or they stop.

Thanks John, I'll have to look into it next time I'm in Radio Shack. It would be nice to control the speed some. I wonder how or "if" I could control the speed some how with the AC3 I have based on temp or something??? Anyone have any experience with this, I'd be curious to hear???
