Dave's 15g Oceanic

Sure! Lemme wait till the day-lights come on. :D

The good news is: my cyano problem seems to be under control now. The bad news is: all my LPS crapped out. Everything else is doing fine I guess. I'm not getting the growth I would expect from my GSP and Birdnest. I can't figure out what my issue is! It's a real head scratcher.

Pictures later today, I promise!

Wow, very nice setup. Remind me of my 24L which was my first ever reef tank. Kep up the good work. Your skimmer seems to be producing some serious skimmate!

Some new shots from today... the layout looks different because I just took everything out in a futile attempt to get a nasty hitch-hiker crab out of the tank.

Here are a few more:

The last shot is my newest piece some GSP with a nice surprise of some nice metallic green mushrooms hiding underneath. They are a little mad in the photo after being out of the water for a bit.

Here are a few photos I took of the tank a few days ago.

You can see both of my fish in this shot. :D

I think the star polyps on the right are going to win this war...

My one lonely little Ricordea yuma. The lfs has some of this kind that are huge! Hopefully now that mine has finally settled and seemingly attached it will start growing.... it blew around in the tank for awhile!

Xenia that almost died from over-skimming...

I love these shrooms... they have grown a lot since I put them in. The photo does their color no justice.

After losing all my LPS, I decided I might be over skimming.... that Warner Marine kicks ***! SO, I took it off. After a month of no skimming I am getting MUCH MUCH better growth from my softies and my galaxea looks like it might actually make it.

I've read here and there that skimming in a tiny tank might be a bad idea. Sure seems like that is the case with my tank!

The hitch-hiker crab I mentioned a few posts back is still in the tank. He doesn't seem to be doing any damage to the corals. He comes out at feeding time and grabs mysid shrimps. I ran to get the camera but he dived back into the rocks.

I do wonder if he killed my red pistol shrimp or if the bulls-eye pistol did him in. One way or another he disappeared...

Update: the hitch-hiker crab seems to be gone, but so does my fire shrimp! I have no luck with those guys.

I tore out the fast growing star polyps. They were beginning to grow over everything and I decided I just couldn't live with that. They were even growing over my Halimeda algae!

I'll snap a photo or two once the day lights come on....

Here we go:

Black *** Clown Blenny - LOL - It edit's his common name.

Domino Damsel

FTS - Fish hiding!

The domino runs the tank obviously. My only regret about adding him is that I don't see my Randall's goby as often.

By the way, the coral skeletons aren't my fault. They came from the dead coral bin at the LFS, I wanted some more branchy rock. :D
