Death in the family

Yep, my female True Perc clown was dead :sad2:

I bought the mated pair ~4yrs ago when i had started my 65gal. It is a shame that she wont see the new tank this weekend.

Question now is do i try to introduce another perc or do i get rid of the male and start with 2 new ones. I am concerned that if i only add 1 they will fight. Any experiences??

When my false perc female jumped, i found another large female and added her to the tank. It took her a few days, but she found the male, and started to host the power head with him. They are now a happy couple.

Maybe i should add it within a day or 2 of getting the new tank online if i go that route.

Wow, 8yrs.....I have no idea what happened...she laid eggs yesterday and everything seemed ok.

I would suggest introducing the new one when you make the tranfer to the new tank. The one you have now should be less territorial since they will be in a new enviroment. If you can find 1 a little larger than the 1 you have now that may help too.

Let me talk to the wife and will let you know...when do u want to come for the goby? Friday eves or Saturday would be good for me. I plan to start pulling the fish out fri eves / sat morning.
