Death to bristleworm?

I just found this little guy, should I attempt to kill it?

It's pretty easy to access and remove the rock it is on. Tank is still pretty young. Small worm. Thanks.

Thanks, I seem to ask questions I already know the answer to on RC... I guess there is/was debate about bristleworms being reef safe.. I just found that little feather duster type worm in the bottom of the pic too, bonus!

Get rid of it if you have clams. They can get inside your clam and kill it. I lost two clams to bristleworms. Now I kill on sight.

They get inside the clam because it's already dying. There is no way to look at a clam and determine if it's healthy. These guys can tell when things go bad long before you can.

I have a crocea in a reef with a range of worms from 10" to 2", about 300 of them. No problems. THey can't eat anything that isn't already decayed.

this is how bristles get a bad rap in our hobby. Not to single you out, there's a ton of people who fall into this belief, it's just not true.
