Deep Down Florida 300g In-wall Build

Wow great work so far. What are you doing in your garage for humidity? i saw the little exhaust fan but was wondering what else you have planned?

That chocalte brown stain looks great. Do you have any more info on it, what brand and did you you put wax or anything on after it. I really like the way it came out.

So I have been busy tweeking things on my tank. I still have some more to do but for the most part I am done.

Here is a picture from the front view. The pvc on the right in not supposed to be there. I was adding RO/DI and forgot to take it out.

This is still the front with my moonlight pods controlled by the reef keeper elite.

In the back side of things I made a change. I moved the output of the skimmer to a new location than I originally wanted. There was some concern from other forum members that the skimmer may not work in this location. I can tell you it is working like a charm and I had to dial it down more than I thought.
I also added a chiller. My original thought was to run tubing in my freezer which is next to the tank. So I tried that....It actually melted some of the ice on the inside of my freezer. So my trial failed. I bought a 1/2hp chiller which is also hooked up to my Reef Keeper Elite.
I think that is it for the changes.

Great looking build!

So, your skimmer is discharging through that low BH on the right below the water level? Or is that an optical illusion?

No it is not an illusion. It is discharging through that long PVC through the low bulkhead. There were concerns about the back pressure from the sump being an issue, but truth be told, I have to dial down the gate vale quite a bit to get the level in the skimmer where I want it. So the back pressure is not an issue.
The trick is that the sump level needs to be consistant or else you may have to much to to less water in your skimmer depending how your sump level is.

I really like your water change setup, how do you get water from the bottom reservoir into the tank? i don't see a pump. And what kind of light setup is that? thanks.

I have a mag pump in there that turns on with my reefkeeper when I command.
When I am ready to do a water change I turn of the main pump turn on this mag pump. this will pump the fresh saltwater into my tank and overflow into my sump. My sump has a drain which when open will release any water over a predetermined point. And that is my semi-automatic water change system.
The lights are a retro-fit T5 VHO system that I put together using supplies from home depot.
