Hey guys just figured I'd finally come out of hiding from the nano department and make an actual thread for my new tank instead of backpacking it off my Nuvo16 build thread

Tank: DeepBlue 60RR rimless shallow

Stand: DeepBlue Lux stand with sump door

Sump: Aqueon ProFlex Modular sump #2 (i <3 this sump)

Lighting: AI Vega Color, AI Hydra, AI director, AI hanging kit

Filtration/Heater: high micron socks, chaeto, rubble rock, big skimmer lol, Fluval E300 digital w/lcd

Circulation: WP10 and MP10 (yin&yang, to different types of flow but at almost the exact same output)

Livestock: Platinum and Prison Break Clown, Dusky Wrasse, juvenile Aussie Tusk, percher goby, annoying small urchin, crabs and snails...tons of them especially babies but won't have to worry about them after a couple months :)

Coral: Too many to list screw that enjoy the pictures lol

Yesterday I added around 25lbs more of liverock but didn't get any photos

Took a couple pics today, still waiting on my doser unit to come in and debating whether to run a calcium reactor or just dose calcium.

Wow Josh! Nice seeing a bigger tank!

I LOVE the minimalistic aquascape you've got going! Looks awesome dude. Definitely following along!

The thing I hate most about AI led fixtures is there is such a small variable of tolence for these fixtures power percentages to toast coral, so many damn channels and no solid guide on what to set leds like UV and UV/Purple, its annoying.

Figured out a couple problems I was having, first my sps had been growing super slow since switches to these lights, changed up the spetrum and increased the 100% on time to 8 hours with +2/-2 ramps. In two days I've noticed an increase of color, polyp extension, and base growth on a couple of them started bulkimg within days!

I wonder if there's something to this. The few times I've seen people with dimmable lights who run their schedule like yours seem to have nice looking corals. The problem I have with this theory is that there are tons of tanks with non-dimmable led fixtures and of course there are mixed results.

Maybe in your case the corals needed more light?

Nice tank BTW.

Thats exactly it, i was running my lights for 5 hrs at 100% at their prospective set amounts and +2/-2 ramps. Maybe the leds need more time than MH/T5s, idk but which ever of the many things i changed up worked and couldn't be happier.

Btw i hate frag plugs lol

Very nice tank!
And +1 on frag plugs. So unsightly, If the coral hasn't started to encrust the plug to much I usually nip away at them with some end nippers.

Hey bud, don't know how I missed your new thread but I'm here now:) count me in for the ride:D

Haha, sup Fishy1! Yea man thats the problem with most the frags I purchase are already well established or else I'd remove them from the plug haha. I found if you try to remove a established coral frag from a plug it effects the coral harshly and instead of it finally growing upwards it puts all the energy into reestablishing a base -_- thats why i prefer fresh cut frags and have yet to lose a single frag.

Update pics! The aussie tusk has been pretty happy in his tank and besides feeding him directly hes systemically destroyed my hermits one by one lol

Oh that little bugger, hes some sort of Goby I got from the gulf of an artificial reef lol, hes pretty cool and will sit in the palm of my hand. Hes really aggressive when it comes to food though and will steal it out of the mouths of his tank mates.

Heres a couple coral update shots.

I have deaths touch on my Selago SPS...its STN from the bottompart that doesn't get much light. Going to frag it up today and will have like 9 frags from it....sucks because it take forever to grow to the size it is n now
