Dehumidifier?

My whole apartment is extremely humid since I put the tank in. I have even noticed paper feels somewhat damp, and my g/f has complained that the toilet paper feels damp.

I looked into a dehumidifier at Home Depot, but I know nothing about what size I need, what brand is good, and what price is reasonable. The ones they had ranged from 150.00 to around 230.00. I don't remember the name brands they had.

My apt is fairly small, it is a 2 bedroom, one bath, livingroom and kitchen.

Is your tank covered or are you using an open top and fans for cooling?? Cover the tank and get a chiller so you can forget about all the topping off. Either way you will have to spend money. I bought a chiller so I can go out of town for a week and the tank sitter only has to feed, not mess with adding water.

I bought the biggest one that Lowes had. It takes 70 pints out of the air a day. Iempty close to a gallon out every evening. The air in the house feels much better, windows are not wet inside anymore. On the plus side, I don't have to use my humidifier anymore......

I picked up a Soleus Air CFM-40 E 40-Pint Dehumidifier about 3 weeks ago from Amazon. It is really nice and quiet. Definitely a good investment.
