Deltec vs Bubble King

Hi !

Thinking of buying a new skimmer.

I have heard good first impressions on the new Deltec Skimmers, but also on the new 2009 Bubble king mini model.

So I am to decide between these 2:

Deltec SC 2560

Bubble King Mini 200

Which one would you choose and why ?

Bubble King has a terrific reputation. I have a Deltec and think if I need customer service I can get it. I don't know anything about the customer service for Bubble King. That's the first question I would research before making my decision.

Both nice skimmers , But as mark said it's really about customer service these days . I do not think one will out perform the other by a large margin or if at all.

I have not seen the 2009 but I did not like ( and i know others who didnt also ) like their first "model" bk mini's . I believe you should get it done right off the bat not make little adjustments every 6 months and put them up on the market for full retail.


If I were you i'd go for a "Royal Exclusiv Alpha 200
Cone Protein Skimmer" or called the Vertex Alpha .. Not because of its cone shape , but they are a lot easier to pull apart and clean . and you are getting a "bubble king" but closer to where you live and Vertex has great customer support .
