Dendro bubble

Has anyone ever encountered this? I've had this bubble on the side of my dendros for the better part of a year. When I first saw it I thought it was growing another head, but no skeleton emerged. As you can see I've grown more heads, but this bubble just gets bigger. Any ideas?

Its stretching to form a baby head I think.I also heard it is caused by a parasite or stress hopefully its my first guess

I hope it's that too. That bubble predates all the little heads so i know what it looks like when they grow. Plus, the bubble is bigger than the original polyp i got. It's translucent and no skeleton is forming under it. I really hope it's not your latter suggestions.

Does it have little open mouths on it? Its not a great picture, but I'd bet its just a sponge. Its generally harmless but if you're worried about it, pull it off and let it drop. They're good filter feeders and usually cool to look at. :)

Haha, no it is certainly the same tissue as the dendro. It literally looks like a blister under its skin...its see through with no skeleton under it. I've been looking at it for over a year.

Its soft...its thin tissue filled with fluid that is the same consistency of saltwater. It moves with the current like a plastic bag under water would.

If thats not a sponge, I'll eat my shirt. Pull on it, it should rip right off. I'd remove it- looks like its annoying the dendro

Hope you like shirt. I've poked, prodded, pulled at it...it stretches, deflates, then reinflates. It is definitely dendro material. I have sponges, it's not sponge.

I know you're experienced enough to know if it's a sponge. I've yet to see anything like it but I'd consider removing it, or fragging that area/head off. It could be something that decides to suddenly spread quickly

i had that before with my Dendro.....couple day later, i saw a new head ....nothing to worry, i supposed.

I am still trying to figure it out,my dendros grew several new heads and they never looked like that.Wonder what would happen if you were to cut it,then again it might get infected and loose some of your other heads.

Snakeman, thats my main worry. I'd be cutting tissue, not skeleton. I would have thought it was a polyp, but it would have grown dicferent than all the other babies, and that bubble has been there for almost a year.
