that tube alone is over 93 gallons. Now that you have the tube, all ya gata do is make the cone, rest is a snap.

I just showed this to my wife and she doesn't think I'm as crazy anymore for spending $400 on my last skimmer

$3000 for just the skimmer body? Now that's nuts!

well if he needs to make a little money for the tank he can always run a line from his house to the atlanta aquarium and help them filter there water.

At least you have the before and after photos as proof. Hopefully they won't be too difficult in paying the $2500 you insured it for.

And that's only the beginning - then you have to find/order a replacement tube. Hopefully it gets to you in one piece next time. Maybe go with FedEx?

After dealing with UPS for the past few years,I can say that if they packaged it,there pretty good about paying off insurance claims.Its when you self package it that they can be a hassle.I learned that real quick when I sold a skimmer to a guy for $300,and they broke it during shipping.The box looked like it had been in a war.After they did there review,they agreed to pay,but only because I had gotten advice from the lady at the UPS store on how to package it correctly.Well what UPS calls correctly.
